As a young boy, Chef Arie was helping his family pick grapes on their wine farm in Mesopotamos, Greece. At the Age of 4, he immigrated to Canada and lived in central Ontario’s cottage country paradise, far away from the fast-paced city life.
At the age of 19, Chef Arie's Culinary journey began, moving to Florida where he and his father opened up a Greek restaurant. This Mediterranean cuisine sparked an interest that would lead him to become the chef he is today. Soon after, he moved to Calgary, Alberta, where the creativity, admiration, and level of respect he saw Chefs receive while working inspired him.
He continued to challenge himself and became an integral part of opening a new whiskey inspired restaurant called One 18 Empire, where he won an honorary ‘White Hat Award’ for his exceptional culinary services. Arie was also a lead chef for a famous café restaurant ‘Hardware Societe’ in Melbourne, Australia. From there, he toured Thailand, South Korea, and Indonesia, learning the intricacies of their cuisines.
His big bright smile eventually led him to work with Rōnin Chefs. Chef Arie brings passion, love for food, and a big fat Greek personality to the team.
